Data Literacy in Health – Virtual Summer School 2021

The summer school in 2021 on “Data Literacy in Health” was organized by the HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (Hogeschool Utrecht), under the coordination of Dr. Guido Ongena. Students and teachers from all partner countries came together, contributed and got into exchange during this week.

General information on the summer school 2021 – “Data Literacy in Health”

This summer school is part of the Data Literacy in Context (DaLiCo) project. The topic of last year’s summer school was open data. In 2021 we turned to another important domain: health. This summer school is a transdisciplinary introduction to data (literacy) in the health domain.

The summer school is setup via two main learning lines:
=> interactive introductory workshops in the morning (e.g. data applications in the health domain, exploring datasets, developing a prescriptive model);

=> working on your own data project in the afternoon with support of the DaLiCo members

WHY
The aim is to educate students in the domain of health to enhance their confidence to advocate responsible and effective usage of data for decision making.

virtually (organized from the universities in Hamburg, Valencia, Utrecht, Debrecen)

WHEN
23rd till 27th of August 2021

WHO
The summer school is open to participants from a broad variety of health related studies (e.g. nursing studies, health management)

HOW
During the summer school the work will be done on real data and projects. The summer school offers a variety of didactic formats like input lectures, hands-on workshops und project work. By filling in the form below you can enrol in our one-week programme.
